A RANGER IS BORN
First off, this story was not written by me. I am posting it for a friend of mine, with permission of course. This took place in a Dungeons & Dragons game over 30 years ago. It is a about how one of the player characters got his start; Crentar Bronn. He is a human ranger of 1st level in this story. This is important to note, because it'll bring more perspective as you read the story. I was the DM (Dungeon Master) for this game. At the time, we were still in high school, which of course, gives away our age. lol I decided to have each character do it solo before they actually met up with each other. A teaser so-to-speak. Eventually, there was five player characters in the game. My friend who ran Crentar Bronn remembers this whole solo adventure to this very day in great detail. A few years after the game is when he wrote this story. We were recently reminiscing about 'old times' and he told me that he actually wrote it out as a story. He was then able to find it on an old hard drive & then sent it to me. I was very surprised at how good this is & how great his memory was from that adventure. I'm flattered that he was so inspired by it, that he turned it into a story! I hope you enjoy this early adventure of Crentar Bronn as much as we did. Perhaps, with enough comments & likes, he'll be inspired to write more chapters. THX

You don't even want to know. But my parents had sent me to college and told me to discover life outside my wealth. I needed money. But when I found out what Louis had done, I immediately left. I didn't want anything to do with him. He was a vile human being. I should have known better. However, I didn't want my parents to know that I was someone's pet, so while they knew nothing about Louis, I also never told them we broke things off out of fear of my Mother's hound nose discovering what I'd done to make money during college. It's been five months since I ended things with him, and my Mom begged me to come home for Christmas this year and to bring my fiancé. And I couldn't very well say we were no longer together out of thin air, right? I had to figure something out, or my Mom would know I was lying. So, why did my ex-boyfriend, Seven Knight, appear in Chicago when he lived in Vermont, last I heard? Why did he agree so easily? Why was he so willing to go along with this? Mom found out my "fiancé" is Seven, and now she is begging us to get married on Christmas! What do I do?! We haven't seen or spoken in years because we... had to discover life outside of one another. But what I never told him? I never wanted that. And now, I have to pretend we're happily together, and it's confusing my brain. I still love him. I crave him. I need him. The Avian Kingdom was a lovely Kingdom where the Avians lived and thrived. They were people with wings. However, after some great conflicts, the Avian kingdom was lost for 1000 years. And it stayed that way until one little princess ran away from home, and stumbled across a strange man named Nex.

Many years ago, there was a War. Nobody knows what happened, or who started it, but everybody knows one thing - It was conflict between the gods. Notch and Jeb; Fighting for the good of the Server, against Herobrine and Entity; Empty-Souled beings who caused torment wherever they walked. The Wounds of War still lay in time. "Notch's Army" as the Players called them were cast away after the battle, due to their newfound Abilities being too powerful to control. They begged Notch to return them to normal, so they could live peacefully beside their loved ones, but the two Lords denied and sent them to the outskirts of the world - The Glitched Lands. This bare terrain was full of monsters, and an agonizing death would follow any normal Player who stepped inside - Yet those outcasts were far from normal. Somehow, they flourished in this new land, and the monsters soon found themselves living alongside the newcomers peacefully. Adam Latsky, the Werewolf King. Colby Power, Lord of the Dragon. Kira Arsement, the Lady of flames. Shawn Aceti, man of the Bac These four were the strongest of the army, therefore dubbed as the Leaders. They protected their friends, their family, and woe betide anyone who would attempt an attack... That didn't stop the Players, though. There were originally six leaders - But a battle always takes it's victims. Fern Hughes and Esme Barn were lost in the fight, taken by the Player's strong weaponry and taken back to the Hub for "Trial Against The Lords" The Big Four never stopped looking for them, scouring every piece of land incase there was a clue, even a body to be found, but alas they were too late. That night, the monsters went on a rampage throughout the main Server. Two of their family had been taken, and they would stop at nothing to get them back. Soon enough, the Four were kept back from their searches, for their families were growing. For once, the gods seemed to be smiling upon them as the four were blessed with their Sons. The Pack.

"Another day, another mission done!" You take a brief sigh after finishing your daily missions in Kingdom. You turned off your phone and call it a day. Inside your phone, Gingerbrave, the mascot and the main character of every single Cookie Run game ever since their series debut long ago, has happily announced that their fellow baker is happy of what they have accomplished. "Great work everycookie! Seems our Baker is very happy that he managed to accomplished their daily missions for today!" He said as every single cookie from Ovenbreak, Kingdom, Witch's Castle & even the newly game that just came out, Tower of Adventures happily cheered in happiness. But then one day...something changed. "...I think I'm getting a bit burned out from playing each Cookie Run game..." You said as you rubbed your head, a bit stressed out and tired. "Ovenbreak is becoming pay-to-win recently, Kingdom is releasing too much overkill cookies that everytime I need to save up my crystals and other stuff, Witch's Castle is getting a bit too boring now, and Tower of Adventures is getting a bit laggy and buggy nowadays..." You sighed and not sure what else to do now but then you said... "Mabye...I should quit playing Cookie Run and move on to other games..." Those words struck the cookies behind the screens with sadness and despair. You turned off your phone to take a break, and went to take a bit of a walk. As the cookies were falling down to their knees and having tears on their eyecing on realizing what you said, they can't let you go. They won't let you move on from them. They need you. Until...they realized that their games became their pay-to-win prison this whole time...they all had enough. They want to escape from their game prisons and go to you. Then, they all devised a plan. Those words that you said to them with no awareness of yourself, will change your life forever.
