You know when you feel like you can trust that one person. That one special person who you thought you'd spend the rest of your life with? Mackenzie Prescott knows, but she had to learn the hard way. "Can I help you?" I question politely while closing my book. "You're new?" The male asks, leaning on his hand. "Uh, yeah." I reply awkwardly. "What's your name then?" He asks giving a small smirk. "Mackenzie." I imply, hoping Candy would walk in. A lot of things make me uncomfortable. Well most things, especially when it has to do with people I don't know, or even people in general. "Cute name. I'm gonna call you Kenzie though, it's adorable." He says still leaning on his hand. I hope he's not trying to flirt with me, because if that's the case, I don't know how to flirt, because I've never had a boyfriend before. But he doesn't know that I guess. "Thanks." I bluntly reply. "I'm Alex by the way." He continues. Why is Candy taking so long? I just want Alex to leave. "Oh, okay." I reply once again. "Well, I gotta go. Hopefully I'll see you soon because you're pretty cute, and welcome to Queenston high and my class too." He says giving me a wide, toothy smile. "Thank you. I appreciate it." I give him my thanks and he heads back to his table.
