It's the year 2023, a game called Dark Realm Online was released five months ago and it was playable via NecroGear and was made by the company Ethereal Incorporation.
The game became popular within a month after it's release and already has a hundred million sales. It's still the most popular game in the present time. The game became popular because of the "Duel System", "Pets", "Soul Stone", "Skill Training" and "Upgraded Class". The Ethereal Incorporation was pleased that they received a good amount of feedback about their game.
Now, as our protagonist, Zachary Ace D. Mathews tried to play this game, he didn't know that a great catastrophe is about to hit him.

The official book is planned to come out somewhere around 2026-2027 but I still have to finish the manuscript. I highly recommend reading the chapters first! 2024 Author's Note: This story has been cancelled, and is due to be rewritten. Many aspects may likely change in the future, though. I originally took down this story because I disliked the universe I'd set up as well as the execution of the story itself, and intended on doing a reimagining. That second take came and went, burning myself out over struggles to pace it well thanks to its highly unusual and experimental structure. This story was also taken down to prevent some of the events that occurred later in it from spoiling the latter parts of "Redwater Riot." That said, I feel like it would be a good idea to rerelease this story as a sort of museum work, a way to look at what my writing was back then and how it has changed over time. I don't intend on finishing "Polaris Garden," though I do intend on a rewrite in a later "Imperial Reach: Awakening." Something much closer to what this was than what I'd done before.
