The Sanders Family is like a quilt. They've been stitched together by their experiences, both good, and bad, to create something beautiful. But, someone is now trying to tear their family apart. The Sanders are determined not to let him.
Aka Roman's abusive ex-boyfriend/Virgil's abusive birth father has been released from jail, and he is determined to tear their new family apart.
Note: As of August 15th, 2022, the first 15 chapters of this fic have been rewritten and updated. I didn't want to start a new work so as to not lose all the old memories kept on this one, as cheesy as it is. If you have read this fic before August 2022, literally all the chapters are different and edited. And if not, welcome! However, this story deals with abusive/toxic relationships, rape/coerced consent, self-harm, and a lot of stuff like that. This is based on a role play I did in a Sanders Sides fan group. It is also inspired by the show Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts and a podfic called The Selfish Protector by DragonSaphira Reads. Anyway synopsis: Janus wasn't sure where it had all gone wrong. Everything had been going so well. He'd been getting along better with the ligh- 'other' sides, Roman and Virgil had definitely seemed to be getting used to his presence in videos, and they'd even been inviting him to join in on their famILY traditions. Where had it gone wrong? His snake half. Janus had noticed that he'd been adopting more reptilian traits. Shedding? Fine. A few extra scales? Easy to hide... mostly. But it's become more and more prominent and more and more painful and frustrating to deal with.
