SUPERNOVA! she cried, as the world before her exploded into seemingly millions of stars-glowing, waiting for the touch of it's owner. Sitting upright, the woman couldn't pull her eyes from what sat. And she knew it was a horrible trick.

Nova Peters, victorious of the sixty-seventh Hunger Games, had never wanted what was brought upon her. She was too innocent, too stubborn for her own good at fifteen years old. She was good. And how good she'd been-a crowd pleaser for her mature figure and confused ways, how stubborn and serious-which had gained her a great amount of sponsors. And in the end, she'd escaped.

  Or so she thought.

At sixteen, much like charming victor Finnick Odair, the Capitol sold her innocence. Yes, she was the unity's heart. The victress. The scarring. The political. The mind. She was different, popular.

The five years go by in a blur. She slept with many, bought, sold. But Nova is soon launched back into the games with a pool of victors-reintroduced to people she'd once known, the memories-

  And her fears.

[ONGOING] 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐗 𝐎𝐂 "Novalie, or, Nova Blackthorn. Won her games at fifteen. One of the only female victors from district four. Don't let her innocent appearance fool you. She's brutal, ruthless. I'm talkin' like, major league crazy. She can kill a person just by stomping on their head, I've seen it." "I never wanted to be a pawn of the Capitol. I just wanted to go home." "When you're in that arena, you're not thinkin' about gentle ways to kill other tributes. All you know is almost everyone is out to get ya', and you gotta get them before they get you." "The first time I saw you two at the tribute parade, I thought the whole romance thing was an act. But when that fog started rolling in, and you didn't care about anything but her, not even yourself... I knew I'd been wrong. You love her. And anybody paying attention can tell." "Yeah... she's the other half of my soul. When we're apart, it feels like I'm missing something fundamental. Being in her presence is as essential as breathing." "Yes. I do love him. More than I have ever loved anything. He treated me like I was somebody. Not a victor, or a Capitol favorite. A real person." 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐲. In what used to be North America, the proud country of Panem now stands. The rulers from the Capitol hold a televised survival competition in which one male and one female between the ages of twelve and eighteen are reaped to fight to to death in an arena designed to be as deadly as the tributes, themselves. This game is forever known as The Hunger Games. Peeta Mellark, District Twelve's Baker's son, has been, madly in love with his companion, Katniss Everdeen, since the small age of five. Ever since tragedy gave him enough courage to ask for her hand, the unspeakable happens. Katniss's little sister, Primrose, is reaped for the death sentence. Peeta watches helplessly as his lover volunteers to take her place in the Games. Soon after, Peeta is reaped himself. He knows that only one will come out alive: someone smart, determined, and strong enough. And it would be his love. It had to be. This is my verson of The Hunger Games, originally writen by Suzanne Collins.
