Congrats! Your parents have adopted a new boy named Alex. You and Alex got along... somewhat. He never speaks. Ever. Though, during the night, he'll come into your room and watch you sleep until your parents go to bed, then go to his room without a noise. He creeps you out, always watching your parents, and having violent outbursts when they touched you, or when they touched him. He is odd, at the very least. But hey, it's summer vacation! You're free from school. Free to hang out with your friends. Yay!

But one night, you have an accident. You don't remember what happened, but your parents refuse to take you to the hospital. The night after, Alex tells you something the parents have had planned for a long time. Something that could have both you and your new brother killed.

Join Odette in this action-packed book, The Orphan's Warning, to experience the crazy roller coaster of things that have happened to her and her friends.

The Hound

65 parts Complete

Antique store owner Liz brings home a Victorian taxidermy hound from auction, unwittingly unleashing dark forces on her wife and son. ***** Nat Loman has finally married the love of her life, Liz, and is getting used to her role as stepmother to Liz's 5-year-old son, Liam. The Loman family runs a bustling antique business so they attend a sale where a striking, black taxidermied hound is up for auction. Liz picks it up for the business, but it ends up being stored in their home, where Nat notices strange things occurring. She quickly discovers the past residents had died violently. Then she hears from a friend about the myth of "the devil's dog", a hound that perches in the shadows, tearing families apart from the inside. Soon, people around the Lomans are dying, and Liz is changing, darkening. It's up to Nat to save the woman she loves from the darkness closing in, and to save Liam from danger no matter what she has to sacrifice.
