On the 19th of September, at 8 am, we step through the doors of Sydney Airport. It is raining and about 11 degrees cold. Shivering, we settle down to wait for our shuttle bus. Five minutes. Ten. At twenty we are soaked through. I did not pack for temperatures below about 20. Already, Australia is out to get me.
That is my first impression of Australia: rain, cold and onions (more on that later).
After thirty minutes our bus arrives. And so, our six month long misadventure begins.
