In this story, Marinette is depressed and her parents are abusive. To everyone else, they are known as nice or as 'perfect' but if you were to look closer Marinette's parents are abusive and only care about themselves. Marinette is still ladybug and Tikki tries her hardest to not let an Akuma get to Marinette and Tries to stop her from hurting herself.
Adrien's dad, Gabriel Agreste, is still strict but lets Adrien go with his friends and do what he wants as long as he has his bodyguard with him. Gabriel has a suspicion that Adrien is Catnoir so he has different scenarios as Hawkmoth.
Marinette has a crush on Luka and Adrien but thinks that she doesn't deserve them and that they wouldn't like someone like her. But in reality, they both like her for who she is and for how creative she is.

Marinette's life was getting bad ever since Lila promise to her in which she told lies about what Marinette did but didn't do in which all of her friends except for Chloe, Nino, Alix, Kagami Juleka, Zoe and Luka turned against her and bullied her and not even Adrien who was her crush but got rejected by him and told her to take the high road saying that Lila's lies weren't hurting anyone but they were in which they were hurting her badly. Marinette's ex friends started to bully her and hurt her while Adrien didn't do anything to stop Lila from ruining her life in which the love for Adrien died out because Marinette sees for what he truly is and that is a spineless coward who doesn't do anything but take the liar's side instead.
