Young Carmen Rose lives in a world where everyone is blessed with a magical gift at the age of 6. Some are given strength, beauty, speed, or some other ability. Although Carmen is beautiful and strong she's not like the others. She was not given an ability. She had none. When people heard of this they found her unworthy to live in the same area as them. The children bullied her and the adults spread rumors of the young orphan girl who was the weakest there ever had been. But when she is sent to be a servant in the palace under a tyrannical King, she shows that every rose has its thorn. Some are deadlier than others, especially that of a sister who's in pain. When the King dies will she choose to finish off his son ending the line or train him to become the next King, without him knowing that she was the one who killed his father?
