"Mommy!" I yelled as my knees shook.
"Go get your father!" She yelled back as she grabbed the ledge of a 500 foot drop.
I nodded quickly and ran with my teddy bear clenched in one arm. Dad was in the house which was only a couple minutes away but I don't think mom can hold on that long. I jumped over logs and tripped on a tree stump. I scratched my knee and my pink, fluffy dress got cought in a root. I made my way to my feet and yanked at my dress, causing it to rip the bottom off and dropping Stacy (my brown, small bear with button eyes and a red bow tie around it's neck). I quickly grabbed the small bear and began to run again but only could limp. Mommy doesn't have much longer, I thought to myself and turned into a skip. I hopped twice on my good leg and only once on the torn, scratched up, bloody knee.
"Daddy! Mommy is going to fall!" I shouted as my little feet carried me into the house.
Of course my dad was asleep and had a beer can in his hand. I ran over to him and shook him violently. A tear rolled down my face.
"Come on daddy, mom doesn't have much longer!" I grabbed the collar of his shirt and shook even harder, "PLEASE! WAKE UP!" I begged as my eyes spilled tears all over my face.
