May isang Puno sa isang bayan na hinahangaan ng mga tao dahil sa taglay nitong ganda. Isang araw may isang maliit na Halamang Gumagapang ang nakiusap sa Puno kung maaari itong gumapang sa katawan ng Puno. Nangako ang Halaman na aalis din pagsapit ng kabilugan ng buwan. Pero pagsapit ng kabilugan ng buwan ay naroon pa rin ang Halamang Gumagapang. Nakiusap ang Halaman kung puwede itong gumapang sa sanga ng Puno at nangakong aalis sa susunod na kabilugan ng buwan.

Dumating na muli ang kabilugan ng buwan, ngunit itinuloy pa rin ng Halaman ang paggapang. Hanggang sa halos ay hindi na makita ang Puno. Pati mga bulaklak nito ay hindi na rin makita.

Isang araw ay nagtungo ang taong-bayan sa kinaroroonan ng Puno.
May dalang itak ang mga ito?
