Nero Shion was living the life of a typical rich eleventh grade boy. He attended the high class and prestigious Belleridge Acadmey, went to parties with friends, played sports, and many other things you'd expect from a boy of his age. His strong love for music also promised him a bright career. Yes, Nero Shion was only beginning to become greatness-that was until he was diagnosed with a life threatening tumor that was quickly spreading through out his brain.

Miho Michalson lead a very different life. While other girls her age where out with friends, she spent her time locked in her room only to deal with her serious case of depression, fail at her attempts to silence her suicidal demons, and would buy or use drugs as a last resort. She had know idea what she was capable of-in fact she was a musical prodigy, but ever since her mother died of cancer, she could barely bring herself to hear any song and lived in silence.

When the two cross paths, though they didn't know, their lives would be changed forever. And when they finally meet, they forge an unlikely bond and show each other a truth of life and love. Nero shows Miho how to silence her demons through music, and in return, she shows him how to sing through life, no matter how long it lasts. But when Miho enrolls in Belleridge Acadmey, Nero is forced to choose between Miho and his popularity. But before they can figure out the rest of it, Nero must bring himself to tell Miho about his tumor before it is too late. And Miho must bring herself to confess a dark past and a damaging secret of her own.
