Life wasn't going to great for me. I was bullied at school and my parents couldn't care less. I didn't know what I did to deserve it. One day I just couldn't take it anymore. So I got all my things together and left. I’m sure my parents wouldn't care. They’ve been trying to get me out of the house anyways. I’m running away from all of this. Sounds crazy right? Why would you want to run away? Well no one knows or understands me. I’ve put my guard up and don't plan on putting it down anytime soon. Well at least that’s what I thought. When I was on my way out of here I met a boy named Michael. He’s not like everyone else. He seems to actually care. But along the way something unexpected happened. I dont know if it was a good or bad thing. But all I know is I’m in too deep to go back now.

Life is panning out exactly how I expected it to. I made it to high school. I'm a teenager. I don't have any of the partying and spring break memories I'd hoped for, but it's not bad. I've even sort of assembled a plan for what I want to do after school. And then out of nowhere this boy comes into my life, and it's like gravity shifted my entire world upside down. Everything used to be so clear; I had no trouble picturing the future in my head. But now all of a sudden it's like everything is out of focus except for him. I'm not sure how I feel about this sudden turn of events, but I can tell already - it's gonna be huge.Complete

"Why Nora? Why did you leave?" He asked. "Why did you disappear with no goodbye or see you later, or even a note explaining everything or even a phone call from you once you got to where you left to?" I didn't answer right away. I didn't know how to explain this to him, and having his new friends around made it all the harder. I knew I had to think carefully about my answer, so I wouldn't give too much away. Just like some things were better left unsaid, there were also those things that could only be said at the right moment, so as not to ruin everything. I had to choose my words carefully and be sure to not get angry like he was trying to make me. I hate to admit it, but he still knew me better than I knew myself. And that meant that he knew that if he angered me enough, everything I was hiding would come spilling out. And that...that couldn't happen. Because if it did...If that did happen...well...He would regret his actions more than anything else he had ever done or could ever do, and it would also likely end our friendship...or what was left of it anyway. And that was the one thing I just couldn't let happen. Right before her 6th birthday, Nora was forced to move. When she was 12 she got her first phone. When she was 16, she moved back. But through it all, the hardest part, was definitely loosing her best friend. So when she gets the chance to get him back, of course she tried. Started: 5/17/16 (May 17, 2016) Finished: 3/17/17 (March 17, 2017) Michael lived on the poor side of town with a 15, 12 and 4 year old to take care of while his mother wasted her money on drinking. He worked every night for 6 hours, except on the weekdends when he worked 9 to 5. He wasnt happy but he kept all of it inside. Luke lived on the rich side of town with everything he wanted, being the youngest, and was spoiled rotten. He never worked, had his older brother to do his homework, and had it made.
