Miyazu is a young dog demon, who like her parents show no hatred toward humans. She is the princess of the tribe and is suppose to lead after her parents death. But her grandmother disliked this. After her parents were killed by a demon named Naraku, her grandmother banished her from the tribe. Despite its been fifty years, she holds no grudge against her grandmother but continue to search for Naraku to avenge her parents death. Even thugh her grandmother said she could return to the tribe, it must only be allowed if she kills a human. She alwas refuses even though she is direclty suppose to lead the tribe since she is the princess. But never liked such titles. Her childhood and best friend, Nobuyuki, always try to convince her to stop searching for Naraku, kill a human, and return to the tribe.
