** 'The Gold Hard Truth' is a conspiracy mystery thriller with a globetrotting setting from the busy streets of London, the 'Sunshine State' of Florida to the mountain of Huayna Picchu in Peru. **
Professor Lucas Higgins - a history lecturer at King's College London - receives a coded letter one Saturday morning from his old friend Byron Lucev (NASA Chief Engineer). The letter tells Lucas that Byron is in trouble and instantly he dashes off to America to find out what is going on.
Byron is a wanted man in connection with the murder of a family friend (Madge Connors) and is now missing in action. His daughter (Susan Lucev) agrees to work with Lucas at unravelling the clues left behind by Byron.
At the same time, CIA Chief Field Agent Sylvan Black, is asking questions on behalf of NASA about where their Chief Engineer is and investigating the murder of Madge Connors.
The situation becomes more complicated, when they discover Madge's husband (Rodger Connors) is incarcerated in a medical institute for mental disorders. With a vital witness silenced, the investigations appear to be hitting a roadblock, until an anonymous tip-off reaches Sylvan. The tip-off warns of a mole in the CIA!
With Professor Higgins, Susan and the CIA on the hunt for the truth, it is only a matter of time before their paths cross, but will they find the answers they are looking for?
