Although a work of fiction, this religious thriller has been packed with so many true events that it will stay with you long after you've finished reading it.  Even the backdrop of the Vietnam War and what happened to Nickolas and his fellow soldiers actually happened.  Of course I had to make up this whole story but this is what historical fiction writers do.  Abandoned is just a means to tell you about some very amazing things that happened a long time ago; a platter of sort to nicely arrange before you what otherwise would remain separate.

Christian theologian and philosopher Augustine of Hippo once said, "The purpose of all war is peace". In the world we live in today, this saying is one much too true. The Great War, the Second World War, the Vietnam War... these are all examples of such a catastrophe. Which ever one is made topic for discussion, the results are still the same - millions dead, and if not, suffering the aftermath. Despite all this, the sacrifices weren't in vain, as the necessary peace was kept. However, a war rages on, and this time, it could end the world. Two secret organizations, the Peacekeepers, who makes it its mission to protect the world, and the Southpaw, who's bent on destroying it. Hiroyuki Watanabe, a fellow Peacekeeper, is part of this war. A soldier, one too young. Along with his team of brave souls, the boy endeavors to end this secret war, before it ends humanity. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's Note: This was and still is my very first story. To elaborate even further, it was also my first time writing anything at all. My original intentions were to test the waters and see how it appeals to any and every reader that comes across it. So having mentioned that, it might not even count as a 'story', it more or less can be looked at as a 'prototype' of one. For any factual inaccuracies or misrepresentation of real-world concepts and ideas, those are on me, and I apologize if ever. I myself am still learning and trying to get the hang of things. However not even a night passes by and the first camper goes missing. Weird growling is heard at night and a girl keeps having weird visions. Is she on drugs, or is there more to it? Long chapters, but they're worth it. Also as the story continues each chapter will get a little darker, a slow start but a worthwhile ending to each chapter. Story starts to get a bit gruesome from chapter 7 so beware, there ARE going to be DEAD people! If you don't like these kinds of stories consider this your WARNING!
