I was only 4 when my mother went back to work for Overwatch, keeping me as her secret from the people she worked with.
I was 8 when they lowered her casket within the Overwatch Memorial Grounds after it's fall - my presence finally unearthed. My existence now known.
Now 16, I sit before the people she tried so hard to keep me from. I sit before these ex-heroes, her friends.
What was it that she tried so hard to keep me from? Who was it?

This novel is more storydriven than BCD and also involves more focus on the other characters in the Overwatch family. The story picks up after we left Gabriel and Jack together in the valley and Hanzo and Jesse in Nepal. Even though we could wish for a fairytale ending, life seldom plays out like that. An explosion. You heard ringing in your ears, but you couldn't do much about it. You just cried. After all, you were a baby held in your dying mother's arms. Overwatch became family and you couldn't bear to find anything that would tear it apart. You, a selfless girl, blamed and beat yourself up for things that happened to your family. No matter what, you'd give yourself up for them, even as a little kid. This is my first fanfiction, and have been thinking about writing one for a long time. If it doesn't meet your expectations, sorry. I'm a real noob at this. Hope you like it either way! Welcome to my take on the Overwatch lore! This is a continuous story so I recommend you to start from the beginning. Votes and comments are highly appreaciated, I love reading your thoughts. :) It takes place during the Overwatch/Blackwatch era and mostly centers around Gabriel Reyes (Reaper), Jack Morrison (Soldier 76) and Jesse Mccree. It is a story about love, friendship and family, but also struggles and inner demons. Sexual content that in periods turns dark and violent so reader discretion is adviced. All pictures used are borrowed (all credit to the artists), I do not own them or anything connected to Overwatch (owned by Blizzard). The pictures have served as inspiration, but if the creators want them removed I will do so immediately. This is my first try on a fanfiction, English is not my native language so please be kind.
