The Children of the May saga continues...

Secrets.

Lies.

Someone Must Die...

Stranded on Avalon, Drift is transformed. Back in Britain, Mordred’s war against King Arthur is plagued by disasters and defeats. Merlin and the knights of the round table are more powerful and more vicious than ever.

When Drift comes back to the mainland, Britain will shake from the isles of Orkney to the kick of Cornwall. When secrets are revealed, a friend and a foe must die...

Ides of the May is the second novel in S. J. Moore’s Children of the May saga. Inventively adapted from tales in Thomas Malory’s Le Morte d’Arthur and other medieval sources, the Children of the May stories are full of action, adventure, magic, humour and romance - a version of the Arthurian legends for today.

Sir Lancelot, his faithful First Knight. Guinevere, Arthur's promised bride. Garreth, her best friend and cousin, the son of Merlin (Myrddin), the great wizard. It sounds just like the Arthurian Legend, doesn't it? But... What if everything happened differently? What if the young Princess Guinevere was not so keen on marrying Prince Arthur, whom she met... when he came for a week-long sightseeing tour to her father's kingdom accompanied by dashing Sir Lancelot? What if she was... dressed as a knight, pretending to be a bodyguard hired for the visitors? And... What if it was 'a she', who was destined to pull the sword from the stone and thus unite the kingdoms? This is my version, a humorous retelling of the famous legend, a medieval fantasy- coming of age- romantic comedy. *This story is purposely historically innacurate, set in some parallel, fantastical Britain that is different from what it had really been in the past, even though I'm using real locations, historically confirmed battles, and the Saxons as enemies of my legendary King Arthur.
