A new world order is forming in Germany under Nazi Rule as the Reich grows in the wake of its expansion. 24 year old Erika Müller has worked at her family bakery in Freiburg for as long as she can remember. As war breaks out, she is thrust into a perilous world unlike anything she has ever known. 25 year old Wilhelm Bauer is sent away to the front to fight for the Fatherland while he is plagued by nightmares of his past back in Berlin. The story follows the young couple as they navigate their path in a collapsing world which will question everything they have ever known, with dark secrets, sacrifice and betrayal at every turn. "Under the same sky they fell in love. In the shadow of war they were tested. Under the quiet stars they must decide what remains." Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. The plot as well as names or characters are fictitious. As it is still historical fiction, the places and major events (ie. bombing, invasion) are real and have occurred.

She was a kind, everyday girl imprisoned under the tyranny of the Nazi regime. He was the self-righteous son of one of the most powerful men in the Third Reich. What kind of war will break out when these two worlds collide? - Suppression and subservience are being forcibly integrated into the life of Hana Amsel; a selfless and arguably naïve girl who has somehow found herself victim to the tyrannous and despotic rule of the Nazi Party homed in Germany. Though she insists that nothing could be worse than losing her home, freedom, and ability to proudly call herself 'German', her patience and implausible kindness are put to the test when she is forced to work for the man who spent a night violating her virtue. - Trigger Warning: Some scenes may be triggering for certain audiences with mentions of murder, suicide, rape etc.
