Magnus Bane grew up with the staunch belief that all dragons were wicked monsters. Like his father, he was known to be one of the best dragon hunters in the land, capable of slaying any dragon that crossed his path. But that all changes when one day, his father receives a new prophecy. One that says that Magnus must befriend a dragon in order to destroy all dragon kind. It is with great reluctance that Magnus agrees to participate in his father's plans, not wanting to be around any dragons at all for an extended period of time. What he finds out after meeting Alec Lightwood-the future king of dragons- sends his world spiraling into chaos. Love is a powerful thing, but in the midst of a betrayal that runs deeper than they ever knew, who knows what will prevail. Will Magnus be able to make the right decision in the end? Or will Alec and the rest of the dragons be sent to their doom.
