With a flick of a paw and many curious expressions brightening within a shadowed audience, Nondawn stepped onto the stage. Lights flashed and behind them was a desk. They shuffled and sat down in the chair, waving their paws before clapping as the lights focused on them.
"What is this, you may ask?" They peered down to the audience with a small smile, and they pointed to a convenient sign above their head. "This is Nondawn's News, and welcome to the very first episode!"

Frida started sketching something with her stylus, eyes flicking to her screen as she adjusted the axes of a diagram, mumbling, "...and then this boundary layer here starts behaving like a switch... not instant, but sharp. Sharp enough." Inés leaned in to see. "You mean like a Heaviside approximation?" Frida rolled her eyes, barely biting back a grin. "No. I mean like an actual boundary layer. I thought you said you weren't rusty." That earned her a low hum from Inés - amused, maybe a little provoked. "You want sharp? I'll give you sharp," she muttered, reaching for her own laptop, the tip of her manicured nail clicking a little too decisively on the trackpad. "You're missing the substructure that governs the transition here-see?" Frida glanced over. "That's an assumption, not a proof." "Do you want this to work or do you want it to be romantic?" Frida laughed - surprised and a little breathless. "God. Is that how you think I talk about math?" Inés tilted her head, lips curling. "Only when you're trying to seduce me with it." Frida blinked. Her ears went hot. "I'm not-" "Not trying?" Inés cut in, pretending to glance back at the diagram, feigning innocence, but there was no missing the gleam in her eye. "Shame. Because it's working." Inés made a quiet, pleased sound at that and sat back for a moment, the back of her hand brushing the edge of Frida's chair. "Tell me more about the way you're treating the constraint set when it fractures," she said finally, voice smooth again, back in control - or pretending to be. "Silly boy - you dare ask me that question?" I frown at him instantly - taken aback when he gripped my chin. Yanking me close enough towards him, our lips almost touched. The look in his eyes was one I've seen in wild animals who can't control their animalistic behaviors. Except this one was different...it held desire - which I wasn't for at all. "I became Unhinged because of you." That's when I saw him begin to lean towards me, and wasn't having this any longer. I shove my hand onto his lips right when he was about to kiss me. My eyes glaring into his despite the risks of me doing so. "I refuse for my first kiss to be from someone like you." I growl at him, his eyes widening in shock. That's when I push him back and got off of the couch. I saw him watching me with feral eyes that told me I probably angered him even more. Possibly heightening the chances of my removal from this horrid competition. Except I'm not like the other contestants here. Having him isn't my dream, my dream is helping my family - and being here does that. I could care less if he becomes Unhinged.
