The Lesser One

Markus Red is awakened as a weak, almost useless "blue anima" spirit holder. Just barely making the cut to become an adventurer, he embarks on a mission to better himself and not become a burden to society. He finds solace in the routines and classes of Ixtham academy, one of America's best adventurer academies. Even though he cannot achieve much with his weak, podunk spirit, he manages to befriend one Dr. Barrimore, a researcher who has been trying to get his theories about spirit circle evolution accepted for ages.
When the results of Dr. Barrimore's research bear fruit, it is Markus who must shoulder the burden of what he has become, and use his newfound ability to overcome many challenges.
