What if, years in the future, we discovered an all new landmass hidden away from satellite technology? In 2056, we found the New World off the coast of California, thousands of miles into the ocean. 2000 participants were sent with supplies, Eric Izato being among them.
The following are excerpts from a journal found in the wilderness of the New World, written by one of the first people to explore this new land.

But we have managed to survive and persevere despite everything that has happened. The year 2147 was a year of hope for us, with the arrival of the Golik, an alien race, who were kind and wanted nothing more than to help us. Alongside the Golik, we had five years of peace and prosperity with them, both races gaining knowledge from the other and building to create a wonderful relationship with the other. After five years of peace and prosperity, then the peace ran out and the invasion began. The world was deemed unliveable in 2025. Humans were moved to space stations in order to survive, looking for a new planet to call home. The year is now 2050, and we still have not found a planet. I was born on this ship but my parents were alive when Earth 'died.' I've been chosen to journey to the planet of Alalea in hopes of finally finding somewhere to live. I never thought I would call this place home until I met him. (Based on the world of avatar. This story and characters are completely original and my own!)
