As the rest of Remnant sits in comfort, one kingdom is embroiled in a perpetual state of war against the Grimm and their master Salem. The Kingdom of Monarchia, an ancient and secretive kingdom located in the continent north of Sanus that most have forgotten through deliberate means by the kingdom itself, is a highly militarized state where military service is mandatory and technological developments happen regularly in finding new ways to sustain a kingdom in constant warfare. The people are taught to suppress their emotions to avoid attracting the Grimm, creating a culture of discipline that is more effective in combat against the Grimm than most kingdoms.
