Marchen, a rather small town in the middle of the cornfield-covered Illinois, was as boring and "normal" as a town can get, that is until several citizens gain magic powers. Some with the power to change vegetables into animate objects, others with the power to put sleeping spells on young girls, and some with the ability to change the shape of other people. 

  Many people have noticed, but nobody seems to investigate it- nobody, except the 16-year-old Bella Page, who discovers her Aunt Alvina has powers, and will do anything in her power to learn about these powers. Then, Bella has her own issues to deal with. Between her abusive stepmother, Mayor Isa Moreno and her daughter, Rayna who is no nicer and a father who ignores her for work, Bella's life is no picnic. Even Sophie, her older sister is graduating soon, and can no longer protect her from Isa and Rayna. 



  On top of that, Bella struggles with finding a way to homecoming, and a way to get out, despite her despicable family. Follow Bella, in her version of a modern Cinderella story, as she struggles with the everyday life of a teenage girl, as well as investigating the strange behavior of the town
