"We made it guys. We did it. It may not have been a decade for us, but it is to the world we protect."
"May the Avengers, it's beloved members, it's memorable legacy, live on to see the next decade."
"The power we hold, not as just individuals, but as a team, as a legion, as an army, will not be toppled."
"To whatever mistakes we make, we're all here together to pick up each other's asses off the floor, dust them off, and keep moving."
"It doesn't matter what you've done or what you have been. The world may judge, but the world always rests. We never will."
"Whatever challenges may come, be it from our own misjudgment, the galaxies beyond, hell, even from the fabric of time and space itself, may we endure, may we fight, for us and those who need us."
"To the next decade!"
"To the next decade!"

[Set after Infinity War, AU where they win and all live, they have the tower back, etc.]
(Y/N) (L/N), a member of the Avengers under the hero name Mirage, was born with the ability to conjure illusions, making things appear where they aren't, or make things disappear where they are. She could light a building on fire with no harm, or hide a thunderstorm under a sunny day. She could appear as another, or cast illusions on her teammates as well, but also accidentally make doors appear open when they're closed, or closed when they're open, leading to her mischief-making, fun-loving, personality.
But the decade is coming to a close, and (Y/N) has never been quite too fond of the holidays, the reason unknown to the rest of her team. So, the Avengers make a promise to make this holiday season the absolute best.
-=IMPORTANT=-
This story will not be completed, it was a personal challenge for me to write daily in December 2019, but I wasn't able to. I plan to write more stories (w/o a major plot), and will challenge myself to finish them. I'll publish all of them whether they are completed or not. I wish I could have kept up with the story, but thanks for reading!

Let's say you had the power to save everyone you've ever cared about and more. Let's say that you could have a do-over every time you lost, every time you messed up, every time you missed something. Let's say that you could have another try anytime, but you had to die to have it.
At first, you're happy about it; nothing can stop you. "Just one more time."
Then, after a few times, it gets old. Your joints ache and you're tired, and no one around you knows why because you're the only one that remembers. "Just one more."
Eventually, you want to give up. You know what death feels like, now, and you've experienced it far too many times than any person should. But now you know everyone by name, by eye color, by voice, by the sound they make when they drop to the floor. You can't just leave them to fend for themselves. "Just one more..."
You're done. You've had it. You cry into your pillow, wondering if the curse will ever end. You've lost count of how many times you've tried again. Then you think of those people you had tried to save; they would die without you. You would have blood on your hands. So you pull yourself together and put on a smile. You pretend it's the first time, and you walk through the door like the future is ahead instead of today. And then you say, "Just one more day."
"One more day."
