When Ann Parr is invited to join the ballet ensemble of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, she believes that all her dreams are about to come true. Her mind full of hopes and dreams she leaves behind her native New York to settle in Russia's capital.
But soon her talent and own ambitions ensue in a vicious and bitter power struggle between Ann and the Bolshoi's lead dancer, Tatiana Kirov.
Tatiana stops at nothing to ruin Ann's dreams of dancing the swan at the New Years performance of The Swan Lake. But then help comes from the most unexpected of sources: The Bolshoi's billionaire patron Alexander Rostov.
