Tranak is a world of magic. Once it was free. Now, the Emperor of Kasan has destroyed the ancient women who ruled the matriarchal society, and rules with an iron fist. Any and all special powers are reported to him.
Vira Lyon is a commoner in the Empire of Kasan. Most commoners don't have powers, powers are reserved for the upper classes.
On her thirteenth birthday, Vira goes into the Temple Of Storms, where the priests test if people have powers. A storm begins to brew while she is in the Temple, a strange sign. When she does not emerge after the allotted time, a priest goes in to check on her. She has disappeared, leaving no trace.
Deep in the mountains of Tah-Len, the flame eyed warrior rises again. And she comes for the Emperor of Kasan.
