The Fractured Veil
This is my first attempt at ever writing something this long after being pressured into it by a couple friends saying I should try it since they really liked my short stories. This is meant to be a start of an introduction of six characters of which I kind of wish to build a story around. I also kind of wrote this in an anime style because I feel you can do more with anime than regular story characters. This origin is about a young man who was taken from his home at the age of three after his parents were supposedly killed. He was always treated special by the organizations leader but because of this he was outcast-ed by his fellow trainees. At the point where this story begins proper, he is given a task that hasn't been done to his knowledge at the age of fourteen. I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me.
