Aislinn and her twin brother, Jace's, lives are thrown into dissary when demons attack their home and they are forced to run. They meet some people who take them to a place where sorcerers are trained in the art of magic, each in accords with their own powers. But formerly a person of little beliefs, can Aislinn accept this new new life, and the also the fact that her brother has hidden his powers from her and that she does not seem to have control of anything remotely magical.
