Tressa is a hard-working village girl.

That is, until Caspen gets assigned a mission to kidnap Tressa's little sister.
As Caspen travels across the country of Arnaron with a nine year old, Tressa, with the help of her best friend, must leave the safety of her village in order to find them.
But with a deadly disease spreading across the country, a race of fairies who despise humans threatening the country's peace, a corrupt prince getting ready to take the throne, and numerous threats endangering them, nobody is safe and Tressa and Caspen are forced to face their darkest fears and are left questioning everything they thought they knew about themselves and their pasts.
