This is a look into the past, with my version of how we got to where we are now. There will of course be happy moments, but some somber ones too. This story is not for everyone. There will be heavy spoilers for All the Wrong Questions inside, but it's not an ATWQ focused book. (Only in the first chapter) Multiple POVs will be used. As many of my stories have similar details to their past events, I have decided this prequel will not be tied to any of my previous stories specifically, as they share several details of their past and it would be mostly inconsequential to not tie them to any one later story.

Rated T for swearing.

I am here to tell you what happened after the Baudelaires and Beatrice II set sail for Briny Beach. I cannot tell you much but it involves an unexpected encounter with a lost relative, a man with hair but no beard and woman with a beard and no hair (or vice versa) and of course, the search for the stolen sugar bowl Wanderlust is a word which here means "a lust for wandering;" but if you have read the exceedingly long novel of Leo Tolstoy entitled 'Anna Karenina' then you know that a rural life of moral simplicity, despite its monotony, is the preferable personal narrative to a daring life of impulsive passion, which only AND always leads to tragedy. If anyone asks you "Is a safe life really enough?" Take my advice. Look away from this sad tale. And answer yes to the person who asked you. Until she met a young boy, the almost same as her age. A Russian boy was there on a playground, where the girl was going. She talked to him and became friends afterwards. Unfortunately the boy had to go. He decided to make a pinky promise/vow to promise eachother that they will meet eachother in the future. But, That promise took a very long time to reunite. It took years and months for it to be reunited once again.
