Lacey Hollow a young 10 year old orphan, was born with albinism a condition in which affects the pigmentation in ones skin, hair, and giving one a ghostly appearance. Lacey lost her parents during infancy and has unfortunately had to suffer with the burden of albinism all by herself, constantly being bullied and terrorized by her own classmates, forcing her to homeschool. And on top of all of that she was born with very large Jack rabbit like ears sprouting out of the top of her head instead of human ears, making her "grotesque" and "excluded" by everyone else around her, even her own house staff. She has desperately been looking for answers her entire life and finding her mother's journal could just unlock the key as to why she is so different from everyone else.⁣

When Lacey Hollow is mindlessly wondering about her large and fairly empty estate in Greenwich Connecticut, she finds herself exploring the dark, dusty,  and forbidden attic in an old and avoided wing of the house. Just before she stumbles upon the remnants of what looks like a slaves room, and situated in the corner of the room a single cold iron Bar bed In wich hides an old box filled with photos, and a journal in the name of her mother just beneath it. Will this hold the answer Lacey needs to find closure and except herself, or will it just bring more grief upon her life and more suffering?⁣
