What happens when magical superpowers are common in a world just like ours?
Dan Sullivan's out of a job, that's what. In a world where roughly 20% of the world has superpowers, it's pretty difficult to just be just ordinary. Previously, ordinary life was what you'd be used to - graduate from school, jump through a couple of hoops, and then land a job and hopefully make a decent living.
Now, when a significant population of the world has powers, some of which are actually life-changing, being just "ordinary" Dan Sullivan is not enough. The world has changed, in some ways small and insignificant, and in other ways so much that it's an impossible chasm to jump.
Is it still possible to be special, in a world of specials?

Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime has increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind. The victims of these horrific acts are not taking that lightly. Why not make a team of heroes? A team that doesnt give a shit what the NSA or the Mayor has to say. Everybody is same and not just because of one pair of eyes, ears and limbs. No, It's because of various things that we do at some point of time in our lives. One of them is - Hoping. Hoping for a great life, hoping for a good friend, hoping to get a great boyfriend, and so on. No matter if you believe in god, devil or nothing at all, you hope for something anyway. Arav Tarak, 17 year old kid, kid with not much of a social life except for his two friends and one that would rather sit at home playing games and read books than going at parties. Someone wouldn't leave much of an impression in your mind. That is, until the era of demi-humans came forth. A world-wide phenomenon gave birth to Grimoire and power in humans, who were later termed 'Grimors'. One of those grimors was Lucifer. Will Amar use his abilities to help people? Will he use his ability to become a beacon of hope? Or would this new life give him nothing but sour and back-stabbing aftertaste? The Noble Academy has a group of people that are born with special abilities besides the other humans. They are called Elementals. These people are at the top of the school. So far, the known abilities are fire, water, earth and air. These people wear red cloaks and mask to protect their identities. What happens when there is a person that has all the abilities and more? Meet Winter Valentine. She knows what she is and she knows it must be kept as a secret. The elders of the Academy keep a close eye on her. Fearing that she can be a dangerous threat as she controls very strong powers. A dangerous power is approaching and not all the Elements can defeat them.
