Hi I'm Isla the ugly, poor and scarred girl who lives in the woods with her grandmother. Life has never being fair to me and I know it won't be fair to me anytime soon because while I live in a place with people of such great and unscarred beauty, I'm the only anomaly. The only one with the burnt face. And I have accepted it. Now I'm going to high school and things are about to be worse for me because while elementary school students ignore you and your ugliness, high school students taunt you with it. And when the prince of your city shows you mercy, everyone treats you worse than they had before.
