What happens when the nationally known junior surfer, Lauren Jauregui is forced to leave her life behind in Mavericks, California, missing the biggest competition of her life for the small waves and crowded beaches of Florida. Soon she makes a new friend, a local not- so-well-known surfer, Camila Cabello. Or could she be more than a friend? Lauren soon discovers love and integrity in the midst of a very confusing war between who she is and who she wants to be. Can Lauren figure it out or will Camila have to give her that courage, or will her waves just crash?
