(Rewrite to Rise of the End.) Specter came to Gotham for one reason and one reason only: to kill Batman and 'purify' the city. Of course she would need some help though. That' s why she teams up with Scarecrow to break out Joker, Riddler, and Two Face out of Arkham. With their skills and her plan nothing can stop them... right? Batman has always taken down these criminals before so what's to stop the Dark Knight from doing it again? One of the lunatics is hiding something, others are being killed, and in the end? Gotham will fall, Specter will not rest until she can fulfill her duty, but what if unplanned things begin to get in the way? Following the events of "World's Apart," Batman holds himself accountable for Superman's current predicament. He is obligated to make things right. With the aid of Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman, the trio would set out on a quest to heal Superman from his critical condition. It all goes on array, though, resulting in a Superman with no memories and the release of Zod from the Phantom Zone. For situations like these, the trio would need the aid of another (Green Lantern). A Future Sooner than Tomorrow
The Justice League somehow winds up several years in the future... Or maybe it's an alternate universe? After all, there seems to be an extra kryptonian protector of this time's Metropolis, one that goes by "Superboy". Alternatively: Clark is ecstatic to see another kryptonian, even if it's one from a (maybe?) alternate universe, but... his fellow kryptonian doesn't appear to share the same feeling of immediate kinship. Luckily enough, Superman wasn't known for giving up!
