Legends of Freedom

This story follows the viewpoint of Lucius, a powerful and well-known stallion of the Forest Guard.
'Legends of Freedom' is a prequel to a soon-to-come story of another current writing project of mine, which so far, as no title.

Lucius is a stallion who, for as long as he remembers, has been important. He's brave, smart, quick, and very serious. As a colt, he grew up being taught to hide any and all emotions inside, and never let them show. But then the great Forest Guard rages war against a powerful kingdom known as the Shadowed Forces, and Lucius slowly begins to learn that he can't hide his true self. He has to learn how to love, to show mercy, to forgive.. and It won't be easy.

The world around Lucius has always been peaceful. He remembers it no other way. Then began a devastating war, which strikes the heart of the home Lucius loves. Through Spring storms, Summer droughts, Autumn forest fires, and Winter cold, the battle of a lifetime teaches Lucius what real bravery really is. He learns how to love the simple things in life, and how to be a hero. There's no safe corner of this war, and Lucius and the fellow soldiers of the Forest Guard race across the country to Save, Fight, and Defend their home.
