Fifteen years of war against darkness have led to thirty years of hell on Zenartha. There is no place in the world the Abyss hasn't touched as it seeped from Hell and into the mortal world. The vast majority of Zenartha's population have been gruesomely transformed into evil, twisted Turned, or aimless, wandering Lost. In the country of Chardan, however, the damage is worse than the rest of the world. The first sign of the world's end, the Last Winter, has set in, covering Zenartha in a sheet of snow that knows no thaw, and the country's army has been devastated. All those involved are forced to make decisions against their own wishes just to survive. In the chaos, however, the remaining Guardians in Western Euradon are fighting their own battles, refusing to take sides if it means shedding people's blood in the place of monsters' blood. There is one person whose ascension to Chardan's throne will hopefully stop the wars, but there is also the risk that the violence will only worsen. It is a risk that must be taken, for the sake of everyone.
