|| A tale of strange occurrences, scary encounters, and dimensions very few have trekked into. The story of Hawkins, Indiana that you know, didn't really happen. Not until one extraordinary girl went back in time to change the past, so the kid experiments of Hawkins laboratory didn't have to suffer what she did any longer. She learns a lot about the history of the place she was born in that self-given quest.||
I'm Beatrice Goodwin, 16 years old as of 2019, Sagittarius, a budding artist and musician, and a high school B student. Just a seemingly regular Teenager of the 21st century.
Well, that's far from the truth.
I've had the number, "018", tattooed on my wrist since I was little. It's a permanent reminder of what I endured when I was a small child. A permanent reminder of that damn Hawkins Laboratory.
If you didn't guess already, I have 'abilities', and although it's all cool and handy at times, trauma is the price I had to pay to have these abilities. Even if I didn't ask for them in the first place. Thankfully, they're what helped me escape from that living hell and find my parents.
I call my abilities, 'Shining'. After reading Stephen King's novels, "The Shining" and "Doctor Sleep", I decided I wanted to shine like Danny and Abra. Calling my shine 'abilities' or 'powers' sounds boring and basic anyways.
Now, I'm on a mission. A mission to stop the lab that tortured, killed, and traumatized many kids and teens like me. And of course, accidental discoveries from this mission led to extreme consequences, and I don't know whether to call them good, or bad.
Somehow, the result of one of these accidental discoveries ended up sending me all the way back to the winter of 1983.
Man, I really didn't know what I was getting into, did I?
