What lies beneath the circus -(Namjoon | Jeongguk | Reader)

Namjoon had his sights set on a particular town with plenty to offer in terms of gullible people and broken families. Yet he was ambitious.

Smart enough to know that he had to tread carefully, especially after setting this very town in flames during their last visit nearly two decades ago.

"I'm gonna run this town, give it a few months, you'll see."

He would only allow himself a few months at best.

This town was notorious for its pastime drifters. Situated between three of the biggest settlements of the country, the town saw it's fair share of transients, people who were rejected by big wigs. Those who couldn't keep up with the pace of concrete cities, with vast skylines that stood beyond the clouds. People who liked to live small and simple.

But despite all this, Namjoon was never one to take any town for granted. As long as it was labeled on the map, it was recognized as potential.

He ran a licensed circus. Filled with colors, sounds and personalities he had gathered on his travels. Personalities that were made to be cheered at by the many blurred faces, crowds of all kinds who would gather to see the spectacle of strange talent.

But what lay beneath the circus was where the real money was made...
