Turbulent Tides: A Lost Voices Fanfiction

It has been a year since Luce left Dorian on that San Francisco shore to remain a mermaid and swim off with Nausicaa. Since then, Luce has been able to change mermaid law of timahk and abolish the traditions that Proteus established so many centuries ago. She is now the chosen ambassador between land and sea, tasked with travelling every ocean to reform the mermaids of their murderous ways and establish peace between the two worlds.
Luce is happy with her new task, but all isn't settled within her. She feels she might have made a mistake in leaving Dorian and her father behind and wonders if there is a way to bring all back to her.
Meanwhile, Dorian has since graduated high school and is now in college studying art in New York City with a girlfriend whose only purpose is to help boost his career in the art world. He still has not forgotten Luce and wonders if she really meant it when she left him that day in San Francisco.
