Laylani Blackwood's only purpose in life was one thing, to serve and protect the Bancrofts at any cost. Her grandparents had served them, her parents as well, now it was her turn to carry on the legacy.

She was prepared for many things but babysitting a mortal in the mundane world was not one of them, but the king needed a guardian he could trust and she needed a way to prove herself.

Her new charge? The lost Bancroft heir apparently.

She was definitely not prepared for that. Nor was she prepared for the awkwardly charming, not-so-confident, and aggravating guy she now had to protect with her life.
