Thirteen is an unlucky number for most, but for Dick Grayson, it's haunting. It followed him like a demon, watching him stumble and make mistakes until he fell into Slade's dark, iron grip. The chokehold of an apprenticeship tearing what was left of his crumbling world into pieces. He was no longer a hero, but dragged from the light and forced into the darkness.

Nobody asked him if he wanted to be left in charge, nobody asked him if he was alright during the invasion, nobody seemed to remember that he was only eighteen, nobody seemed to realize that he had to become Batman and protect Gotham along with Bludhaven , and nobody seemed to care about what their words did to him.
