I've just started being interested in History a month or two months ago. I've started reading up lots of books on WWII and on Slave Trade that started way back in the 1500s. A similarity I found in both of these histories was that the minorities were being severely mistreated and even killed just because they were different from the rest. Even today, although not as severe as in the past, we still see prejudice towards the minorities for reasons ranging from propaganda to past experiences with members of a particular minority group. Whatever the case, what I want to convey in my poetry is the message that we are all human and I think that similarity alone should be enough to overlook our differences and love one another without any hesitation. We don't want history to repeat itself.
