Merida had always known that she was a fighter from the day that she was born to where she stands now. A halo of fire that has the whole world at her feet and she would be damned if any foreign or domestic threat would try to steal her dear freedom again.
Even if that threat is an old face from the past that has some unfinished business with her.
Hiccup had everything that he could ever dream of; friends, a strong bond with his father, and the villagers finally seeing him as the man that he truly is...but there is something missing in his life, a lost part of himself that was stolen from a fiery redhead long ago right before he became visible to everyone. The name is given to those who won't survive their first winter. Those who don't belong, those who will not be any more than a burden. Hiccup isn't an exception to this. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped. Everything he did, everything he tried had some way of turning back on him. For the longest time he believe that the God's cursed him.
