A war occurs and a gas bomb is dropped, only some people react to it though, but those who do turn into what the inhabitants of Earth begin to call demons, and these "demons" mindlessly attack people. The main characters mother becomes a demon and he has to kill her. From that day he made a promise to himsef that he would find a cure.
