All she could hear was the distant grinding of metal, and the soft buzz of electricity as she slowly gained consciousness. Her long lashes brushed against her cheek bones before parting and revealing her beautiful heterochromatic eyes to the dim blue lighting before they quickly shut in pain. Instantly her hand went to the cause of it. A deep gash rested on her hip bone, but grew shallower till it ended just below her ribcage. She sighed and forced her eyes open, ignoring the pain as she looked around warily.
All around her were crates and barrels labeled W.C.K.D. Seeing the letters instantly caused her blood to run cold in gut wrenching fear as she quickly scrambled to stand up. She clenched her eyes shut and tried to breath through the sobs she could feel clawing up her throat as she rested her back against the walls of her cage. Suddenly her ride sped up and she yelped as she was thrown against a pile of crates, the rough wood catching her wound. She fell to the floor as the lights around her turned red and she was jerked to a stop. Her entire world turned black and she couldn't tell if it was from the pain or really happening.

My breath quickens as the contraption I was forced into - who knows how long ago - moves. After what feels like an eternity, the space around me stilled, and I jerk forward, falling on my wrist painfully. Suddenly, a strip of light appears above me. As the light gets bigger, I blink and see unfamiliar faces observing me. The strong stench of exhaustion and sweat hit me. As I slowly get up, I see a boy apart from the crowd, watching me curiously. For some reason I feel drawn to him... A Newtmas fanfic in a reality similar to the Maze Runner (don't come at us - my darling friend and I wrote this together) with minor Minho x Gally. (Maze Runner Fan Fiction) {Book 1} {Completed} His eyes glistened with the ghost of his past, a past he didn't remember, if he did he didn't share. He held onto my arms like I would fall back into insane babbling again if he didn't. I felt so much safer when he was there, I know I was no safer then I was without him but with him there... But not to the sweet second in command, showing some sympathy they stuck together. Bark the glade dog entering Malaya's life soon after Minho, they were the perfect team. A living hope dwindled within the childish giggles they shared. Until the trials came. The burden title everyone painted on her head was surely removed. She could run. Alby was bound to make her a runner, but she didn't want to. A fear she didn't understand shook her away from the Maze. So in her effort to avoid Alby and her runner job she seeked refuge within Newts care... Only to fall for him more... But that was it... Falling for him was enough to blind her of fear, she needed to save him. Her world was taken over by her determination to save Newt and her friends, she pushed herself to be a runner. But the further she went into the maze the more she started to remember, the more WICKED began to show there traces within her. But the only way to free her friends...
