Joseph Kane is just your average 8th grader being worried about the horrors of  High School. Its the summer of 1989, and Joseph just got the news that if he wanted to go to High School, he needed to go to summer school for all the stuff that has happened during the previous years. It all starts when him and his mother go to the mall to prepare for the next day, the first day of what seems to be the worst time of his life. While there he meets Alex, well meets him in some form. He goes home not being able to stop thinking about him, only to find out he'll be seeing him again, and a lot more than he thought he would.
