Or Natasha is the last of the royal Romanov line and she had a breakdown after being asked if she was a legitimate Romanov. Steve comforts her.

 I've always loved the theory if who Natasha really us- since she doesn't even remember who she was. Most of my Romanogers stories are just that- stories of Natasha in the 1940s, 1910s or earlier.
